Welcome to Le Mas Normand, your peaceful retreat in Normandy, a bed and breakfast in Ver-sur-Mer

Located in Ver-sur-Mer, in the heart of Calvados, nestled between land and sea, Le Mas Normand welcomes you to a former farmhouse dating from 1771, which has been converted into a guest house chaleureuse et conviviale. À seulement 400 mètres de la plage emblématique de Gold Beach, l'une des plages du Débarquement, notre maison est le point de départ idéal pour explorer la Normandie historique, côtière et champêtre.

Venez vous ressourcer après vos journées de découvertes : trois chambres confortables et une roulotte atypique vous attendent, nichées dans un écrin de verdure, au calme de la campagne normande. Le jardin arboré, bordé par la rivière la Provence, offre une a peaceful, idyllic atmosphere, perfect for reading, birdwatching… or simply letting yourself be lulled by the song of the cicadas. The family-friendly setting and ‘home-from-home’ atmosphere appeal to travellers seeking authenticity and tranquillity.

Côté Sud

For those of you looking for a bed and breakfast near the seaside, on the D-Day landing beaches and in Normandy, Côté sud is a cosy and charming 17 m² double room, ideal for a romantic getaway. It faces east-south, is easily accessible as it is on the ground floor, and has an en-suite shower room (hairdryer, hair straightener, guest soap and hand sanitiser provided) The room opens directly onto the sunny courtyard with its terrace area, pedestal table and chairs for relaxing. From the windows, you’ll enjoy views of the surrounding countryside where cows graze in season, the access path and the River Provence which runs alongside the house. As for the décor, think pretty pastel colours, exposed stonework, terracotta floor tiles, antique furniture with a patina, and a shower and toilet area with a window. In summer, with the windows open, the gentle lapping of the nearby water will lull you to sleep. Our room does not have a television; Wi-Fi is available but can be a bit temperamental at times… perfect for a weekend or a break away from it all! A welcome tray with tea, coffee, water and treats will be provided on your arrival.

Côté Ouest

If you’re looking for a charming bed and breakfast near Caen, within walking distance of the seaside, Côté Ouest is the perfect place for a romantic getaway or a weekend away with the family. Stylish and charming, cosy and bathed in the light of the setting sun… It can also accommodate you and your children, with a queen-size bed, one single bed and a fold-out linen sofa with a Bultex mattress (for children up to 12 years old). A private bathroom with a walk-in shower and a toilet concealed behind a pretty painted wooden glass panel. Amenities include: hairdryer, hair straightener, soap, hand sanitiser… It is a completely private room on the first floor of a small cottage built from local stone; its understated and elegant décor has been carefully considered down to the smallest detail. Facing east-west, the natural light streaming through bathes the room in an incredibly soft glow, enhanced here and there by splashes of colour: curry yellow, aqua green, grey-green, as well as lovely fabrics: linen curtains and cushions that lend the space a wonderfully cosy atmosphere. Our room does not have a television; Wi-Fi is available, though it can be a bit temperamental at times… perfect for a weekend or a break away from it all! Clair de Lune

Just outside Arromanches, we offer a guest room converted from a former attic on the second floor. It is a 35 m² junior suite for 2 or 3 people, set beneath the mansard roof, with high ceilings, exposed stonework, massive beams, parquet flooring, a sweeping view down over the garden, a king-size bed plus a sofa bed, and distressed furniture in shades of turquoise. In the bathroom, you’ll find authentic colourful azulejos from Mexico, along with a shower and toilet, a towel rack, a hairdryer, guest soap and hand sanitiser. Our room does not have a television; Wi-Fi is available but can be a bit hit-and-miss… perfect for a weekend or a break where you can switch off! La Roulotte "Côté Bohème"

This 20 m² solid wood caravan, painted to suit 2, 3 or 4 people, is ideal for families with children aged 4 to 15. It features hemp insulation, a zinc roof, a shower with hydro-massage jets, a toilet, electric heating, a private wooden terrace, secret cupboards and two adjoining bedrooms. In the children’s area, there are bunk beds; in the parents’ area, a fold-away queen-size bed; oak flooring; and décor featuring “La Vivaraise” fabrics in bright colours, linen, velvet and tassels. “Coté Bohème: a return to the roots of our childhood” offers you peace and tranquillity in a lush green setting. With its cosy, snug and comfortable atmosphere, come and enjoy a unique, unusual and different experience in our gypsy caravan.
